WORK EXPERIENCE

Landscape Forms | Senior Designer (Kalamazoo, MI 04/2010 – 03/2026)

• Designed site furnishings, LED pedestrian lighting, and luxury residential furnishing across the full portfolio of high-design brands.

• Established partnerships with award-winning designers and firms worldwide, including Loll Designs, Robert A.M. Stern, Industrial Facility, BMW Design Works, and FUSE Project.

• Shaped LF’s strategic intent through the development of design programs across multiple sectors, including corporate campus, health care, education, municipalities, and sustainability initiatives.

• Guided award-winning site furnishings collaborations with industry-leading designers and firms worldwide and balanced LF’s business objectives with the design intent of its project partners.

• Spearheaded the design of a first-of-its-kind outdoor showroom, a multi-million-dollar project that transformed LF’s campus into an immersive experience fully integrating LED lighting products with site furniture collections.

• Oversaw manufacturing on site, maintaining deadlines and budgets, innovating to overcome manufacturer limitations, and ensuring continuity between design intent and final product execution.

• Wrote contracts with external designers for each project and liaised with legal firms to manage design and utility patents, address patent and trademark infringement, and safeguard IP.

• Coordinated all logistics for LF’s multi-brand, multi-booth presence at the ASLA EXPO for 15 years, including booth design, materials acquisition, setup, and execution on-site.

• Collaborated with engineers, marketers, and copywriters to ensure all aspects of product launches aligned with brand identity.

• Reviewed and approved initial design concepts at A&D firms across the country prior to authorizing capital and labor investments.

• Designed home goods, furniture, and site furnishing concepts that preserved both the clients’ vision and MGD’s design language and brought more than 500 designs from concept to market.

• Managed a team of staff designers, graphic designers, and model makers, overseeing scheduling, contracts, budgets, and deliverables.

• Supervised the production of presentations, working drawings, 3D data, and form and presentation models.

• Led design concept presentations for major brands, such as Target, Alessi, Miele, Delta, Dansk, and Swarovski Crystal.

• Managed packaging and advertising concept development and execution, including graphic design, layout, and copy production.
